Seattle

Sorry it has been so long but I've been busy with work and moving so I haven't had time to do additional photography or to post. Here is a wonderful photo from the Space Needle that I took earlier this month hope you all enjoy and I'll try and post more in the future...

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Independence Day everyone! (I know I'm a day late) Hope everyone had a good Fourth and enjoyed it in the finest fashion you know how. As you can see I went out to see some fireworks, at Gas Works Park in Seattle. It was my first time shooting fireworks and all in all I did a good job capturing the action, but unfortunately I captured alot of other things too. But I hope everyone enjoys...

Monks

Yesterday was an interesting day for photography. I decided to leave my camera in manual focus mode to try and get more "accurate" results. Unfortunately my vision isn't all that great, in fact it sucks. For this reason a great deal of my low depth of field shots didn't turn out all that great. This one was rather striking, as long as you don't critique it too closely, as it is a tiny bit out of focus. Hope everyone enjoys...

Bed Time

Well I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather that the Seattle area has been having, instead of continuing to pack, and head out to Alki beach for sunset. Needless to say there were ALOT of people out on this clear evening, and who could blame them. Got quite a few good shots. As for photography for me, it has taken the back seat to some other projects I'm working on but I assure you I will be taking more photos soon and post as many as I can...

The Denial Twist

Whew its been a long time! I've been engrossed in cleaning my apartment; which I will be moving out of in one week. It has been quite the task but I'm getting closer; which is all that matters. Now it's just a matter of finding a new apartment to move into. Hopefully the new place will have highspeed internet so I don't have an excuse not to update...

Something Quick

Just a quick photo today. Didn't want to go through all my photos so I settled with something quickly. Lots of work to do to get my photos in order to improve my workflow...

Summer Here I Come

As of about five minutes ago I started my summer break. My last paper is in and I am officially free. Life is good again. However, since I am starving I leave you with just a photo and very little monologue today.

Return of Sunshine

Well the sunshine has returned to Washington. Which mean I need to get some sunglasses and spend more time outside. Unfortunately it is finals week so I am stuck indoors studying and writing papers. Only two days left though and then I am free to enjoy the summer. Had a bit a problem with my political forum but finally fixed it. If you are interested in talking about politics please come to http://politics.raptimagery.com/. It would be nice to have diverse participants. That is it for today however, more posts hopefully after finals...

Summer Plans

Well with summer fast approaching I am desperately looking for things to do. I'm sure the photography will keep me busy some of the time but I doubt that it will fill my entire break. So now I'm going to use this time to plug two personal projects I'm working on; in addition to my continued work on http://www.raptimagery.com/.
My major project is my current events blog that will highlight some work I'm doing on a paper/book. That blog can be found at http://ghamidh.blogspot.com/. Right now it is shaping up to be simply me talking about current events and what not; I hope to eventually use my webserver to host my manuscripts and some mindmaps I'm working on, so that people can review for me.
Another project; well not really a project as it is already done, that I am working on and trying to promote is my political forum. I've become fairly active on group on a social networking site and wanted to expand the audience that is avaliable for discussion and debate. So I've created a political forum off of my webpage; http://politics.raptimagery.com/. Right now it is just me and my brother posting so we are looking for other people to get active and share their ideas and opinions.
So these three projects; aside from any work I end up doing, will be my activities for the summer. I'm hoping to get the paper finished by the beginning of fall quarter; as I'm sure I won't have much time to write during the quarter. As for the political forum well that is dependent on people willing to participate. So please please please participate (all nationalities are welcome). Ok that's it for my LONG post.

A Bit of Sailing

In honor of the long weekend I decided to post another photo. I figured I'd get people in a summery (I realize it is not a word) mood with a photo taken at Alki Beach on a very sunny day. Hope you all enjoy and please shoot me some comments and tell your friends about this blog!

Contest Entries

I have officially entered my photography into my first contest; a contest with a pretty hefty prize in fact. I'm doubtful that I will win but it is of course worth a shot. Oddly this three photos I entered, the three above, were all taken with my old camera (that Panasonic DMC FZ5). Guess I haven't taken THAT many good photos with my new one... Oh well, it's a work in progress. Hope you enjoy the photos and wish me luck!

Been a while...

Guess it has been a while since my last post so I thought that I would post something today as I wait for members of my group project. Not much really happening in the photography world for me. Haven't actually touched my camera in a few weeks, but if the weather is nice this weekend I'll have some new photos. I'm also having the difficulty of running out of memory on my computer, as I keep forgetting to transfer to my external harddrive, so that is non the agenda this weekend as well... That's it for now; I'll try and update tomorrow...

Another Sunset

Not much going on really, just trying to get through the quarter. I'm thinking about starting up a political forum, using my Raptimagery domain. Maybe I'll get more hits and use some of the space that I have. If anyone is interested it is at http://politics.raptimagery.com. If you post something you can be sure I'll reply. That's it for today.

Sailing Lake Union

I'm not going to bore everyone will some mindless commentary, you all can thank me later, but rather just give you a photo to look at and critique if you wish. Taken in the afternoon at Gas Works Park. Enjoy!
